Cristina joined the CLF in 1997 to develop state-of-the-art laser technology that would be implemented in the Vulcan Petawatt upgrade. In 2006 she became the Vulcan Group leader, managing the operational programme for the international scientific community, and in 2012 she became responsible for the High Power Lasers Division that included the Vulcan and Gemini facilities.
More recently, in 2022, Cristina took in the role of CLF Associate Director, and is responsible for the development and operations of the CLF’s high peak power facilities. She continues to lead the High Power Lasers Division, and is also the Technical Director for both the Extreme Photonics Applications Centre (EPAC) and the Vulcan 20-20 upgrade to the Vulcan facility.
