Benji Bateman

Senior Scientist

Benji joined the CLF in 2009 as a physics graduate and has since specialised in advanced microscopy instrumentation and technique development. His work spans optical trapping (of aerosols and plant organelles), single-molecule tracking in mammalian cells, confocal and fluorescence lifetime imaging, high-resolution cryogenic fluorescence imaging, and volumetric FIB-SEM imaging. As a senior scientist, he provides expert support to academic and industrial partners across all aspects of their microscopy experiments.
