His current research interests include:

  • the development of advanced microscopy including multiphoton microscopy, fluorescence anisotropy imaging, phosphorescence (PLIM) and Fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy (FLIM) for the characterisation of the environment of biomolecules in cells and protein-protein interactions.
  • DNA damage induction by multiphoton process to mimic the effects of ionising radiation and subsequent repair studies by fluorescent protein detection in live cells.
  • characteristics of mTOR signalling pathway using advanced imaging, spectroscopy and time resolved microscopy.
  • the development of quantum technologies for biological sciences.
