Chris Spindloe

Chris has worked in the laser target field since joining the CLF as an industrial placement student in 2003. His current research interests are high-repetition rate target solutions and developing novel targets for studying matter under extreme conditions. He has worked in all areas of Target Fabrication and is currently WP leader for the Targetry section of the Vulcan 20-20 upgrade and the UPLiFT project. In addition, he is CEO of the spin-out company Scitech Precision Limited, which supplies targets to facilities and experiments around the world.

Research interests: Thin film coating, microfabrication, micro-characterisation processes, plasma physics experiments, high repetition rate targetry, IFE targetry, micro-AM processes, laser and CNC micro-machining
